Hastelloy C22 contains about 56 to 62% nickel, 20 to 22.5% molybdenum, 12.5 to 14.5% chromium, 2 to 6% iron, and small additions of tungsten and cobalt. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of around 690 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, elongation of roughly 40%, and hardness of around 190 HB. C22 provides excellent resistance to oxidizers, reducing agents, and chlorides. It keeps mechanical strength and ductility over a wide temperature range, ensuring reliability in harsh chemical environments.
